Maedeh is currently a PhD student in Chemical Engineering at the university of Calgary, department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering. Her research interests are Energy storage systems, Renewable energies and redox flow batteries. She is working on performance of Vanadium flow battery. She holds a MSc degree in chemical engineering from Isfahan University of Technology where her master thesis was focused on CO2 absorption in a nanofluidic system. She earned her BSc degree in chemical engineering from the University of Isfahan, working on waste-water treatment for her bachelor project. She started volunteering with IEEE student branch in 2020 and is currently the co-chair of the WIE sub-committee. She has already spent most of her time volunteering with GSA, ECS, CPEG, EEESA, IEEE.
