Rahil Samani received her B.Sc degree in Electrical Engineering from the Isfahan University of Technology and her M.Sc degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary in 2015 and 2019, respectively. She is currently working toward her Ph.D. degree at the University of Calgary. Her research interests include power converters for microgrids, electric vehicles, renewable energies and their control techniques. She started volunteering with IEEE student branch in 2018 and is currently the co-chair of the WIE sub-committee. She has already spent most of her time volunteering with GSA, EEESA, IEEE, and Engineering Info Tours for female high-school students.
